Government Sales


Reports to: Vice President

 

Job Summary: Responsible for implementing the strategic goals of the Government market segment

 

Essential (primary) functions:

 

  1. Proactively sell product and services to gain new  government business through prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and generating leads and referrals
  2. Acquire new strategic government business by building relationships with buying influences in government agencies
  3. Ensure the sales team meets and exceeds all sales, operational, and performance objectives by providing training, development and coaching

 

Additional (secondary) functions:

 

  1. Develop policies and procedures necessary to support government market
  2. Resolve internal and external customer issues
  3. Other duties/projects as assigned by Management

 

Required education/experience:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • 5 years Government direct/indirect sales experience and proven track record of success – prefer experience in industrial environment
