Government Sales
Reports to: Vice President
Job Summary: Responsible for implementing the strategic goals of the Government market segment
Essential (primary) functions:
- Proactively sell product and services to gain new government business through prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and generating leads and referrals
- Acquire new strategic government business by building relationships with buying influences in government agencies
- Ensure the sales team meets and exceeds all sales, operational, and performance objectives by providing training, development and coaching
Additional (secondary) functions:
- Develop policies and procedures necessary to support government market
- Resolve internal and external customer issues
- Other duties/projects as assigned by Management
Required education/experience:
- Bachelors degree strongly preferred
- 5 years Government direct/indirect sales experience and proven track record of success – prefer experience in industrial environment
