Delivery Fleet

Sometimes the most important spec on a piece of metal is the time you need it delivered. 

We currently have 13 trucks and 17 trailers with 13 full time drivers. 

We now have GPS capabilities to tell where the trucks are at all times, this gives us
the ability to better predict delivery times. In addition to this we have one trailer that
stretches out to 65' feet for over length loads.

We offer quick shipment of in-stock items.

We service a 150 mile radius daily and are now delivering to Southern Georgia and the Jacksonville area.

Fuel Surcharge:

Effective with all shipments on October 10, 2005, Tampa Bay Steel will implement a fuel surcharge that will be billed as a separate line item on each invoice, based on shipping weight.

In an attempt to keep the plan simple and fair, we viewed our delivery zone as one equal zone, rather than creating regional shipping lines.  As a result, we are asking that all delivery customers pay the same low surcharge based on their delivered weight. 

The fuel surcharge plan will be based on the National U.S. Average On-Highway Diesel Fuel Prices, viewable online at www.eia.doe.gov, which is updated each Monday.  Tampa Bay Steel’s diesel fuel surcharge will be updated at the beginning of each month, based on the last Monday of the previous month.  For your review, an attachment of the surcharge schedule, which shows the applicable surcharge for each range of diesel fuel cost, as indexed by the above web site.
