Tampa Bay Steel’s Laser center is made up of Two L3050 Laser Cutting Machines. The L3050 is a dynamic, high-powered flatbed Laser for machining both thick and thin sheet metal. The speed, precision, and reliability of our Trumpf Trumatic L3050 laser cutting machines can impact your operations and reduce costs.  The Laser cutting capability is a quantum leap forward in production speed and cutting precision for sheet metal up to 5/8" thick.

L3050 Laser Cutting Machine Features/Capabilities:

The L3050 laser cutting machines are a masterpiece of engineering triumphs that use the latest laser cutting technology to overcome limitations of the machining equipment typically available at operational sites.

• The laser cutting head zips around the workpiece, accomplishing tasks programmed into the controlling computer.
• Accuracy is repeatable to five thousandth of an inch (.005”).  The rigid laser cutting machine base combined with an ultra-smooth drive system results in virtually no vibration, even at maximum speed of over 200 meters per minute.
• The combination of nitrogen and metallic vapor plasma makes tremendous laser cutting power available, increasing processing speed.
• Optimal laser cutting results are achieved by an advanced process control that detects the position of the workpiece in real time and adjusts the distance to the cutting nozzle.
• Corners and small contours are cut to extreme quality with help from a dynamic laser power control.
