Stainless Steel Products and Stainless Steel Plates

304/304L stainless steel is a versatile general purpose stainless steel product with good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, to many organic and inorganic chemicals and to food and beverages.  304L has .03 max carbon and is used when end product requires a lot of welding.

316/316L stainless steel plate is a molybdenum containing austenitic stainless steel intended to provide improved corrosion resistance.

317L stainless steel product is a molybdenum containing austenitic stainless steel providing improved corrosion resistance over 316/316L. 317L’s moly is higher than 316/316L stainless steel product, which improves the corrosion resistance.

904L stainless steel product is widely used in chemical processing plants.  Its combination of chromiun, nickel, moly, and copper make it resistant in a range of sulfuric acid environments.

* L=Low carbon, good for welding. Carbon=.03 max.

* H=High carbon .04 or higher.
